Stairway offers internships to international students. Interns not only get to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Puerto Galera—going swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, diving, and even mountain climbing after work—they may also have a life-changing experience as they interact with the children and see how Stairway has provided them a home they have never had before.

Immersed in advocacy, direct service work, community assistance, and creative approaches to address the issues of children’s rights and child sexual abuse, Stairway offers a variety of experiences that can enrich students. As interns they could work in their field and at the same time, act as participant observers to how Stairway gives life to the principles they believe in. Espousing the rights of children could sometimes remain in the level of discourse, but in Stairway, it is lived. It is this life that we offer students who wish to conduct their internships with us, from varied fields such as communication and marketing, to sociology, psychology, social work, and community development.
